Spinning Image is a game where you gradually build up the image on the playfield to match the solution on the right of the screen. Blocks must be placed onto the board as well as being removed to help build up to completion.

There are 50 levels to tackle which come in five sets of ten. The levels in a set can be tackled in any order but the following set is only unlocked when at least eight levels in its preceding set are solved.

As you progress through the game further obstacles appear such as bouncing wall or portals. Can you complete all 50 images?

Runs on a real Commodore 64, TheC64 and all appropriate emulators. PAL and NTSC compatible. Playing from the .d64 file is recommended if using the save game feature.

Update: V1.1

Fixed a small bug where you could fire blocks whilst holding the fire button which sometimes caused blocks to be lost.

What a wonderful logic game ... thank you ... :)

Thanks. That's a nice video you've made explaining the game.

Good job!

Had tons of fun! Thank you!

At least, I know what the end screen looks like :)

Congratulations!

Well... I'm only missing 3 2 levels on set 5, namely 5-4 and 5-6 and 5-10. Any hint will be welcomed :)

Thanks!

Sorry to ask for this, but can anybody post solutions for level 4-6,  5-4 and 5-6. I tried at least 10 times each without luck. These levels are breaking my head while I try to find the logic in them.

Thanks a lot!

A little video recorded with my smartphone showing the game running on my real C64. It also proves you can make it to the last set :)

Enjoy!

Nice. Did you replay all the levels on the real device? Your previous screenshots were from Vice I think.

(1 edit)

Thanks. I do not replay them... Because on some I don't remember how I win!

And yes, I'm playing it in Vice only because it is simpler than connecting my real C64 :)

Anyway, it shows you can go to set 5, even it I'm missing 2 levels on set 4 :(

How did you onlock the levels on the real C64 then? Did you make a copy of your .d64 file?

I save my game every time I finish a level, just to be sure to keep my progress.

After that, I copied  the d64 file I'm using with Vice on my SD2IEC extension to run it on my real C64.

One of the most beautiful and innovative puzzle games I've seen on the C64 so far. The game is almost self-explanatory and I had no problems completing the first 9 levels in one go. Our German-language review can be found in our recorded livestream starting at 01:43:18. Subscription to our YouTube or Twitch channel is welcome. 🙂

Thanks for playing, looks like you enjoyed it.

Excellent graphics. Quality stuff. Just typing what comes to mind.

Well, day two and set two nearly finished. Only missing are level 2-6 and 2-9. But I will not despair and finish those remaining ones.

Thanks for playing, I’m glad you’re enjoying it.

Your game deserves all the time spend on it. It is just as hard it as to be, so it is enjoyable... Even if some levels are harder to finish :)

Edit: As I unlocked set 3 by finishing 8 levels on set 2, I saw you made some levels which are really hard, especially with the bouncing tiles... What a neat idea  :D

I fear what new trick you add to the last two sets of levels... I don't wanna know for now!

I'm half way through set 3. Not too bad :)

Now on set 4... It is hard. In set 3, I'm only missing 3-7 and 3-9.

I do not imagine I will go this far in this game ;)

I think you’re definitely going to complete the game. It doesn’t necessarily get harder later on, just new puzzles with a different mechanic.

A Commodore 64 version of Guru Logi Champ? Okay, I didn't see that coming.

Mind bending puzzler and quite an original idea also. Nice graphics, and music. Well done.

Awesome game... Even if I'm stuck on some levels like "the chicken" one in set one.

Very addictive and very well done. It is worth your playing time!

Edit: nearly finish set one. The "chicken" level is kinda hard to finish... But I'll beat it!

Awesome game!

Thanks for the solution for the "chicken" level :)

Let's go to set two, now :D

Awesome game !

Excellent game, very clever concept.  Addictive and very enjoyable. Well done guys!

Just to reassure people, all 50 levels are beatable. Carleton has already seen proof from myself heh. Have fun!

So, just publish a video for each single level :D

Just kidding, of course!

This is a unique and challenging puzzle game; I'm enjoying it so far.  But, would it be possible to toggle off the moving background while playing?  It's straining my eyes while I'm concentrating on the puzzle.

I can probably sort a POKE out for you.

Wow!  That would be appreciated.  Although, as long as I play in short sessions, I'm managing.  It is entertaining, none-the-less.

I'm usually not a fan of puzzlers, but this one looks very good with very nice music too!

Very nice, I like puzzle games. Here's some gameplay of the first 7 levels.

Nice video, thanks for playing.

Thanks for level 6, I do not know how to play it!

very nice
